From the Naples-Pompeii-Salerno highway we exit at Cava dei Tirreni, which still retains the ancient urban layout. To visit the Diecimare regional natural park and to taste the renowned seafood dishes of the L’incanto restaurant, the unforgettable barbecued prawns, the Cassuola del Golfo and the typical spunzilli. Continuing, we arrive in Atrani, with the stairways and the typical alleys.
Try the A Paranza restaurant, with an extensive seafood menu, lobster and salad shrimp, crock tubes, fried paranza, grilled, pezzogna with salt.
After a short visit to Minori, where the Gambardella pastry shop produces the famous lemon and orange chocolates, Amalfi, an ancient maritime republic, finally appears, dotted with houses, alleys, up to the breath of the large square where the Duomo dominates majestically. In Amalfi, stop at the Da Gemma restaurant: it will seduce you with the typical Gragnano pasta, with paccheri with monkfish and swordfish, fish soup, pastiera, eggplants with chocolate.
Reluctantly leaving Amalfi, you reach Positano, an ancient fishing village. Visit the remains of an ancient Roman villa of the first century AD, the church dedicated to the Assumption, with the large mosaic majolica dome. If you are hungry, do not forget to go to the La Cambusa restaurant, typical cuisine with specialties such as linguine with mussels of rock and cherry tomatoes, redfish with rice.
From Positano continue towards Sorrento, the last stop.
In Sorrento, after an interesting visit to the Correale Museum of Terranova, you absolutely must stop at the Caruso restaurant, with its seafood, the cicada ravioli with cherry tomatoes, the squid filled with zucchini and scamorza cheese and the lemon delights.
