It is a cultural itinerary that offers a visit to the large Archaeological Area at the foot of Vesuvius represented by the Excavations of Herculaneum, Oplonti, Pompeii and Stabia at Castellammare di Stabia. The itinerary can take at least a couple of days. But it can be managed flexibly within a day.
It is advisable that the first is dedicated to Herculaneum (the whole morning and the very early afternoon) and to Oplonti (Torre Annunziata), an ancient center destroyed with other nearby cities by the Vesuvian eruption of 79 AD. Here it will be possible to admire the magnificent Imperial Villa, very well preserved. The visit to Herculaneum is more complex due to the greater extension of the excavations.
On the second day, however, the visit will concern the Pompeii area and the Stabia excavations.
